WALKING TOURS
These walks really focus on a determined area of your choice. The explanations of your guide will have you discover and appreciate Paris, its rich history, architecture of past and present days. These tours usually last 3 hours. Some tours may involve the use of public transport, or entrance fee to Museums which are at your own expense.
Marais and City Island ( birth place of Paris )
The Marais district, historical heart of Paris on the Right Bank along the river Seine is covered with Mansions, charming small streets, beautiful squares and interesting shops, boutiques and arts galleries. It also houses Parisian museums. The City Island welcomes Notre-Dame Cathedral, Conciergerie Palace and Sainte-Chapelle.
Montmartre and Sacré Coeur
The 19th century artist area: such as Toulouse Lautrec, Utrillo, Manet….. Panoramic view on Paris from the top of the hill where are located the Sacré coeur Basilica, Tertre sq ( with its artist market ). Typical parisian village still with vineyards, cabarets and Boheme atmosphere.
Eiffel Tower and Invalides
The very chic 7th district, on the Left Bank :
Eiffel Tower, Orsay museum, Invalides, Rodin sculpture museum…. and very special city women shopping: le magasin du Bon Marché.
Saint Germain des Prés
The artist area: café des 2 Magots, café de Flore, rue Bonaparte ( Ladurée pastry shop ), café de la Mairie on Saint Sulpice sq. Art galleries and antiques shops along rue de Seine and rue de Lille… Enjoy walking by through the 6th district.
Canal Saint Martin and République square
This working-class area is increasingly popular today with artists, fashion designers, trendy boutiques, cafés and restaurants. The area reflects the new Parisian lifestyle with its footbridges crossing the canal….
